I took that last May, I think you and I may have shared some other photos from that same mill (in GSMNP).

The local weather predicting rodent and his prediction of an early spring may have gotten it wrong. With new ice on the rocks and a forecast of another Nor-Easter bringing 20 - 30 cm or 8 -12 inches of snow due to to hit us on Wednesday (the first official day of spring) spring may be a long way away yet
