You can get the water moving when you throw some fish in to hungry birds

@graeme83: I really like the dynamics of that image - timing, framing, colors all work well together.

Quite the opposite here, a seemingly serene scene which could also have gone to 'earth's bones' thread. The upper fall is Hengifoss in Iceland, the lower one between the nice columns is Litlanesfoss, I think.

I think we hiked into the same falls, but the day was not so wonderfully sunny. I'll have to check through the Iceland images (some image files from that trip were lost/destroyed by an external hard drive-drive crash). I will comment that not only is every water drop along one stretch of a stream given a separate name in Iceland, so it seems is just about every boulder more than a meter tall. Some of the latter also may have some attending story of how it came to be (e.g.: trolls turned to stone for one reason or another). It all has a certain charm, but for a newcomer, too many names to remember years afterward.

Hengifoss is quite a landmark and, relatively speaking, was rather crowded even last year. I attributed it to the ferry, which had arrived just the day before, but it seems the parking lot is overfull all day long and busy even in bright nights in normal years.

On a quick look I did not find an image of Hengifoss-Litlanisfoss. The last falls in Iceland that we visited were those in the distance of the first image below. It was a modest walk to get to this vantage, but to get close you had to cross the outflow stream via a somewhat sketchy bridge, then a one or two km hike along a trail on the opposite side. A group of three hikers can be seen on that trail by the red slacks worn by one lady (along the right edge of the image, slightly above center). This was late on our last day and we had to get to our hotel in Reykjavik to enjoy a pre-paid dinner, The time to get to the closer vantage for the falls, and another not visible up the gorge, was too much.

Sketchy was the right word, for that bridge. At least there was a guide rope to provide a sense of balance. Such a pity you ran out of time on that visit.
