thats a great one, too!

I for my part like the first more.
The first one has a secretive funnel flair for me I don't know where the light is coming from but I also don't want to know because it is magical the way it is. In the second one this "magic" is gone.

Please don't get me wrong! The second one is a great capture

+1 on that. Second image gives me a slight feeling of vertigo.

I didn't want to mention it, but yeah...
I think you two should be ok with this waterfall though!

From My POV the 1st is lacking the contrast I like, while the second is a weird angle.

<haha> Yes, my inner ear thanks you! (not your fault, I do have an issue with vertigo) That's a pretty little stream-fall, I like it!

I have always been high shy, something between nervous and terrified in high buildings.
I used to think my vertigo was high shy related, but I came to realize that it wasn't the height so much as the EDGES... I can approach a window on an upper floor (as long as it's closed, of course), but not an open balcony on the same floor. Same thing going down a staircase...if the stairs are closed between treads, not a huge problem, but if there's space between the treads I break out in a cold sweat and wonder if there's an alternate route down.

I agree that edges are particularly edgy. There were video clips on TV shortly after 911 that I wish I had never seen. They still haunt me. Probably all of us remember what we were doing and thinking when we heard about that. I was teaching a biology lab to non-science majors and I remember telling them something along the lines of: "The world just changed very much for the worst. You will remember this day. It will haunt you the rest of your lives."

I may actually be starting to run out of waterfalls.
Here is an overrated one from a scrub bash in the cathedral ranges
Nice rainbow though!

You'll just have to get out and shoot more of them! That's your assignment, Rob!

Why "overrated"? I think it's very photogenic! (says the flatlander...)

It's a long hard walk for a little waterfall!

This little stream is close to our turnaround point for this walk. It isn't spectacular, but we always enjoy the sight and the sounds it makes.

Lovely! I can almost hear the water burbling around those rocks!

Glad you like the image OrchidJulie. There multiple additional rocky stretches and little drops on down to the left. Very difficult to capture all of them, as they continue as far as you can see until hidden by the woods.

I like it very much! The botanical garden here has some smallish streams and waterfalls (all of them artificial) and I really enjoy seeing them, listening to the sound of the water moving.

Hope to be able to do that next week...they have a new "Dinos in the Garden" exhibit opening this weekend, life-size <!> dinosaur replicas, including an alleged TRex. We plan to visit it next week -- while the kiddos are still in school and before the summer rains and heat get too unbearable. I plan to waste a lot of film!
