Cape daisy, fully open this time

The flowers have the interesting behaviour that they open during the middle of the day, but close in the evening. I'm sure that there's a posh word for this. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Rob, sometimes you don't need the whole flower. It doesn't hurt to chop off some petals, on top, bottom or sides. This is a gorgeous flower, chopped or not. TFS

I have a few that came from my world of flowers, some in my yard, some in my world.

wildflower unknown name as yet.

One of my Zinnia's are blooming:

Purple loosestrife

Your red is sumptuous, photolady! Can a flower be called "sumptuous"? Anyway, I'm looking for a "superlative" and I still have trouble photographing, to my satisfaction, reds.

This purple loosestrife gets a bad press in this part of the world because of its habit of being "invasive" - but it can be very beautiful, neveretheless! This plant is growing wild at Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa, which is a protected park and we don't have to worry about anyone "pulling out the weeds". The Mer Bleue Bog is a most interesting place, and rare! You can read more about it at: Mer Bleue | Canada's Capital Region

Syzygium luehmannii

All with FA 77 @ f1.8 and f8

I'm sure this is Riberry, a local indigenous tree, fruits are edible.
