Tess, thanks for your remarks on my photos, and coming from somebody with such superb shots yourself. Much appreciated. Keep those shots coming, they are most enjoyable.

Cross-posted from a "share your photos" thread. No idea what these are but they're pretty small.

Out here in western Canada we are weeks behind the rest of you, but this year we are actually a few weeks advanced for us (if that makes sense). My garden offerings are primarily blossoms so far, the crab apple tree was especially nice this year and if I get time to process them I have even more apple blossoms to show off soon. However for now, reaching back a few weeks....

Those are beautiful Blossoms! I love the whites and also the desaturated background in the last. Very very pretty!

Beautiful photos, everyone!
I'm bending the rules a bit on this one...it's not in a garden, and is more of a summer bloomer. The ubiquitous crepe myrtle (at least in my area) - happily blooming in mid-summer 100+F heat. These are some of the first I've seen this season. (Panasonic p&s)

Why, thank you. I was playing with a new toy - an Interfit flash diffuser - and the 35 Ltd. The flash helped the colours come out very pleasingly.

Poeny - red

The poenies in my yard are opening. I have some whites and pinks that I hope to share.
P.S. I fought the urge to automatically do PP - other than converting from DNG to .jpg and re-sizing this is un-retouched.

Forget-me nots and Tulips, quintessential Spring flowers here in the UK, although as it is now Summer, it has decided to rain (and a Bank Holiday weekend too)

Great lighting on the tulip, Stephen. Congratulations on getting good shots of the forget-me-nots - I find them just a little difficult to shoot.
