Man.... I can't get going over the weekend. Just been either too lazy or having other issues outside of camera life. But I got my daily shots, and man... that firehydrant has to be up there with one of the most useless photos I've taken. But whatevs...

I love how this game makes you really learn your lens's abilities. It's great! Can't wait to get reaquainted with a new friend next month... M 200 f4? DA Fisheye? M 28 f2.8? top three options for lenses I haven't used in a months, if not a year!

I'm already looking forward to next month too. It's hard work with my old Soligor.

Next month! Strewth...that would make 2 years! Jack, Bruce.. full term .. me missed a couple early on first off!

What a journey, what an incredible array of shots, personalities, ideas and purchases because of. LBA?

Cheers Paddy

PS... Next month should be party month...though I might be suffering from a condition known as CBF!

Here it is the 8th and I've had many problems using my camera. I attached the 135mm lens to my old ist DL camera and I've had card reading errors or the image stops processing right in the middle of loading. I checked on card reading errors and I'm only using a 1 GB card and I have the latest version of software so there shouldn't be any problems. Seems like the on/off switch is faulty or something. I'll have to send it out and use my other camera. I need to send that one out as well sooner or later.

check your battery... smacks of the low voltage issues commented on other parts of the forum.

New to me 50mm f2 is in.......problem is, I forgot this lens is 49mm filter thread and my closeups are 55mm......So, i've ordered the proper step ring but it won't be here until next week. For the time being and because I haven't shot straight 50mm in a long time, I'm going to use this lens straight up for the next week. Hope you guys and gals forgive me for not shooting macros.

Thanks Tim. I'm liking this new lens. I had forgotten what a 50mm could do. I already have tomorrow's shot after taking one today, though that shot wasn't in focus enough, I'm going to try it again tomorrow. It's a whole new world with the 50mm.

Like going back to "first principles"!

Came across a "good for singles group" blog post. After all - we are people who are using gear every day trying to get it straight out of camera.

A bit tongue in cheek but rightfully challenging too.

I'll get one more post up today but after that I'll be dark for a few days as I'm going off line. Catch up with the posts next week.

That I could not handle. I have three computers in case one goes down.

Hurry back Tim!

I'm going off-line too (and I really mean it, I won't even take my laptop). I expect I'll get back by the end of next week, or maybe not.

any reason why I suddenly am unable to post to my own singles album? The upload link was there when I opened the album then it disappeared after resizing the image to upload - very odd.

Reached your quota perhaps? Or have you just renewed your subscription? - I had no access for a day when I made my new contribution - just a glitch that Adam fixed very smartly.
