I'm in. I loved playing around in August! I learnt so much about my DA*55 1.4. But I need to get the bloody thing off my camera! I guess I got the night to think about lens choice for september.

I'm trying to decided to either go wide or go long. Go zoom or go prime.

If I go wide:
M 28 2.8 - a lens that has not gotten enough attention on my digital bodies. maybe because it roughly translates to 50mm. Which I don't like for some reason....

if i go long:
M 200 f4 - also hasn't had a lot of attention, but would be very challenging and a lot of fun. would probably make me go stark raving mad

if I go zoom:
M 75-150 f4 - just got it a few weeks ago
or
DA*50-135 2.8 - just got it today

I'll bring a bag with all to work tomorrow and decided on site!

I'm not allowed to post in this group. No big deal though. I can still watch and enjoy. Very nice pics so far. Keep 'em coming.

I'm back at last...11 days to fix the bloody tower!

Anyway, I'm using a Helios-44 2/58 this month, the "zebra" variety.

2 years eh! Good to see so many old faces, and wellcome some new ones. Here we go again.

Cheers Paddy

So which one of you buggers is responsible? Eh?

There's more bloody shooters here this month than in a John Wayne movie...with Indians!

I'm stugglin' ta bloody keep up with me..let alone the rest of you bludgers! Bloody marvelous!

Some really really good stuff coming out of us now, and the strange thing, makes me want to try harder and better, so the challenge works ...eh?

Just a note to let you know, I'm looking, but comments may not always be forthcoming post haste!

Aside...stayed up too late last night, watching a movie on tele...300 (hadn't seen it before)! Much preferred the 1962 version, The 300 Spartans, with Richard Egan I think. Those were the days, men in short dresses, glistening muscles, uhmm....oooops! Give us another bloody beer mate...in the closet...!

Anyway fellas, luvs yas all!

Cheers Paddy

I've seen some mentions of "safety shots," and have a question that I don't recall reading about in the rules post. I fully intend to use a shot taken day of the post, i.e. 4th for 4, etc, but what is generally accepted? Obviously same lens, but day before? Any day, so long as it was the month we're operating in?

Also, I'm trying hard because you long timers are intimidating to post with I want to put out my best every time. This is fun so far, though I know it'll get hard. I'm actually kind of looking forward to when it does get hard, to really push me.

So far, so fun!

The quality of work coming out on day 3 already is spectacular. Keep it up everyone! I'm blown away by what I'm viewing.

I don't get a lot of time to comment as I'm putting in some heavy hours at work, but I'm looking at every image and I'm loving what I'm seeing.

Pez, as for saftey shots, I could be wrong, but if you have a few "keepers" and can't make it out to shoot on a day you can use a "safety shot" from a previous day of the month. Just keep them down to a minimum and try for one each day. But we understand if you can't.

Safety shots can also be one you took on the right day but wasn't quite the one you wanted to post but because you didn't get that one you wanted you post your 'safety shot' for the day.

Oh, and I'll add to the chorus - whoopee Paddy's back!

Well those are fun. The best I recall seeing was a Chinese fast food place in Columbia, Missouri, USA called - Drive in, Wok out.
