A 19th century baker's dough cutter. A mass of kneeded dough was placed in the bottom pan, then the upper section was pushed down hard to slice dough into 36 biscuit-size pieces.

NEXT: More interesting metal objects, or ordinary ones if you prefer.

This is a pressure gauge on an old fire truck in a fire museum, with a nice red glow due to the lantern beside it

Let see something made of metal that you use

A garden without flowers - sounds like the work of my brown thumb.

For a long time, before the acid in the paper destroyed it, I had a multi-panel newspaper cartoon, "Blondie" I think, in which the man, it would be Dagwood, got a camera and was bent on taking nature pictures, especially birds. At the end Blondie, looking over his shoulder at the computer monitor remarks: "But they're all pictures of rocks!" Some excuse was offered, feeble and forgettable.

I think this is a conveyor for loading bulk cargo onto ships. In any case, it isn't a homeowners tool. I've never seen one at the local hardware store nor in any of the myriads of catalogs we get.

NEXT: "industrial" seems to be moving slowly so I'll change to a wider theme = something mechanical

Let's change to "lonely and isolated" places or concepts...

The cemetery at Unionville, Nevada. (Look it up on GoogleEarth)

Keep going with lonely and isolated. I have places that I go and not see another human for weeks...
