Chinese cemetery at Beechworth Vic.
The burning towers were for burning messages to the departed

NEXT another cemetery scene

Two views of the Jewish cemetery in Prague. Very little space was given to the Jews for burial, so aside from the crowding of headstones, there are upwards of 16 interments stacked one above the other throughout this place. It is grim and sobering.
Enough of sadness, let's see an image filled with the joy of life.

That will be kids, usually not engaged in thinking about such serious matters as death and graves. These were happily playing with that box.

I'd like to see something else someone has made themselves inside their home. Specifically home renovations related.

Mark, I assume that the Audi sustained an amount of damage too! Rolling firewood blocks aren't soft.

Rod, the owner of a Audi was very lucky. Only one log round put a small ding in the rear door. The parked truck on the other side of the road sustained some light damage too.
All this was caused by the ute driver being distracted by her mobile phone and drifting into the oncoming lane into the path of the (brand-new) Skoda.

Aslyfox beat me to it. I was desperately trying to devise a way to photograph my brain

US penny, part of a long series of experiments with a variety of macro systems. I selected a penny that had some corrosion that would provide some texture in more extreme close-ups. Some time ago I posted one of these where the frame was entirely filled by the "UM" at the end of "UNUM." and the greenish corrosion there resolved into a lichen-like texture.

NEXT: something monolithic
