Looking for trouble are we?? ? Better to have said "a picture of their better half". Less troublesome Fortunately I am not at risk, as I do not have one of those wondrous things- yet!

I have pictures of older items, but they are not my own. It grieves me that these are antiquated. These are only part of my collection, all still 100% reliable which I cannot say of multiple electronic releases that are far newer. All it would take is a metal shutter-release button with appropriate thread, which would not preclude the electronic plug inconveniently hidden below a rubbery door. OK, I'm off my high-horse.
Let's see another time-proven device, one whose reliable design was perfected long ago.

these will do the job

I think these were not called " drills " but rather " brace and bit "

https://www.britannica.com/technology/brace-and-bit

let's turn the tables shall we, how about something that fits " the latest and brightest " category

People around a campfire next?

I'm willing to accept the child in his photo as fitting my category of

" the latest and brightest "

Could be, but it was mounted on an old bicycle. You can see the rod that goes down to the front wheel brake at the right. Cannot tell you whether the lantern was repurposed by the bike's owner, or by the builder/seller of the bike.

Might also apply to that white van in the background. I cannot quite make out the emblem on it.

IMHO. a child fits the category better than a van

by zooming up the screen, it looks like a Mercedes emblem

now a new true sports car ????

My son, my son-in-law and I together tackled this, and it defeated us. And it was a "bottomless plate." We could have as much additional of any item in it that we wanted, but the three of us felt all we wanted was little help to stand up at the end of the meal.

Next: a building with a stucco-finish.
