The Stare

A very apprehensive young lady with a bass tuba (I think it's called) at a Veteran's Day Parade.

I'd like to see a pictures of a rooster with a wattle.

I hope this red-bellied woodpecker at a backyard feeder is acceptable.

Please show us another image captured in a residential yard.

Moderately old in human terms at about 3000 BCE (= about 5,000 years). This very heavy-set female, with the head done as a separate piece. is characteristic of an early Maltese culture. It is probably a "mother god" or "mother of creation."
Let's see something older still (I've got images of some things vastly older than this, far outside of human time scales).

These had their focus on the young Zebra in the background, until a certain photographer arrived and spoiled the occasion-Rietvlei Nature Reserve.

This one was very uncooperative...

Knowing people have far better raptor shots than this, we're keeping the theme.
