Our winters are mild, to put it mildly , so no snow, well not in Johannesburg at any rate. The best we get is frost and ice - this one of some ice on the rear windscreen of my car


Let's see who will make me envious with some snow shots -or more winter.

Here's winter scene taken in the middle of January 2010. Sadly, this type of scene may not be taken again (here at least) due to the climate change that has been happening over the years. Last year, there was open seas all winter long when it used to be all covered in sea ice. To give you an idea, one of the coldest winter months (February) last winter averaged just around the freezing point when in the past the wind chills would've averaged around minus 40 - 55 degrees F.
Anyway, more winter please.
