Headframe at the ghost town of Bodie, California. The headframe was actually photographed during the day and manipulated in Photoshop, then combined with a shot of the Milky Way to make a 'night' image.

More historical stuff next.

We seem to have a lull. Here is a stationary steam engine from 1903.

Next, lets see some snow (we are not having a white Christmas here this year).

From our morning walk on Christmas Eve. This is close to the most that fell, and it was gone by sundown.
NEXT: Has anyone an image of a real snowfall?

No images of a substantial snowfall available? OK, change of hunt. NEXT: An image of any kind of weather other than sunny: could be snow, rain, sleet, wind, fog.

How about a bit of ice?

Not sure of the value of this-huge thing, too heavy to pick up, and at the reception desk of a resort on the shores of Lake Malawi

Keep it artistic wood work
