The Never Ending Story

This started in the Alphabet Race thread and sometimes continues, but really needs to have it's own thread. Continue the story with your photo and text. See what types of twists and turns a story can take, feed off of each other. You must have text and their must be a connection, you cannot suddenly jump from a forest trail and be on a subway, there has to be segway or bridge photos. So here is the start:

I was walking along a country road...

It looked like no one was at the house, but behind the house there was a trail leading into the forest, and someone was running into the woods. I wondered, where is he going, or is he running away?

Over to the my left was a strange site, a carriage was sitting in the field, the horse that pulled it was tied to a tree, there was a man standing behind the carriage. I thought maybe he could tell me where I was, or even give me a ride. But with the strange goings on, was I safe? I thought to myself, what shoukld I do?

Despite my misgivings, i went and introduced myself to the man behind the carriage. Said he: you look mighty tired and hungry after your long walk along this country road. I have two worthless sons, Joe and Harry, who have nothing better to do than to give you a ride on their "human powered vehicle" into the Village beside the Sea. They can even feed you along the way. I hope you like hot dogs, because thats just about all they eat any more. He chuckled as he turned away and yelled for his sons to bring up their vehicle. With even more misgivings, i climbed into the back of the vehicle while his cheerful sons climbed into the front seats and they pedalled for all they were worth. It was a wonderous vehicle.

They pedalled and pedalled until they reached the shore and could go no further. "Perhaps we will transfer our stuff and cross in this little boat" they thought.

The three girls fell in love at first sight the second they laid eyes on Joe, Harry and the hitchhiker. Flirting madly they cried... "Oh please, let us escort you to the other side! You can use our boats, they have oars and paddles, not like that old boat on the beach." They gazed beseechingly, waiting for the answer...

So, we all jumped in the larger canoe, and started for the other side. But just then, along came the Navy. Little did we know that they had been tracking the girls for ages - suspecting them of luring unsuspecting sailors onto the rocks!
