It looks hot, and like it is often hot.
Yes, if you consider 85F hot. It does get warm up there, in a valley surrounded by mountains. Just a half hour drive down the road in coastal Ventura, it'll be 20 degrees cooler.

Gotta love that 500mm compression. It makes it look like you were levitating when you took the shot as well!

It was so similar to the look where I grew up with fairly dry 95 or 100 quite a few days per year.

That'll happen up in Ojai as well. "but it's a dry heat!" Back in Texas during summer, we'd get caught up in the "80-100 rut". 80 in the morning, and 100+ in the afternoon, for weeks on end...

One of many hairpin turns I navigated on either Maui or Molokai. Wish I could have taken images of some of the really spooky ones, but it was commonly too far and totally unsafe to walk back from the nearest stopping place. However, imagine this turn but instead of the grass at the center, a shear cliff 200 feet high, the road unpaved, about half as wide, and on the other side a shear cliff dropping to the ocean. Spooky.

A tight squeeze along another Hawaiian road. The space between is tighter than it looks. BTW our rental car in the distance was a little Nissan "Kicks," an appropriately small and nimble vehicle to drive on Molokai.
