I posted a different image of this road last year, with a ferry that usually takes one vehicle at at time, or two if they are very small. The ferry is driven by a single paddle wheel on the left. If you look closely on each side of the ferry you may be able to see two cables that go up to a third cable that crosses the river. The current pushes the ferry downstream, the cables hold it in line, the paddle wheel pushes it back and forth. It reminded me of early ferries that were pulled across by a rope stretched across a stream and anchored on each side, with help from anyone who wanted to cross.

Looking across the Potomac River to Shepherdstown, WV. I suspect there was a ferry here back in the day but there's a high bridge now.

That certainly looks like an old ferry approach re-purposed as a boat launch.

BTW, I understand there was some intense skirmishing in this area as the Army of Northern Virginia scrambled to get back across the Potomac after Gettysburg.

Enjoying these diverse shots of bush tracks and quiet country roads.

Here are some more of the Toora-Gunyah Road, a single-lane road through mountain ash forest and remnant rainforest in the South Gippsland hills. Despite the warning signs, there aren't many log trucks, and the road is almost always driveable in a conventional vehicle.

Long exposure of a busy road in front of Tokyo Tower. K3 + DA15

Usually, the whole tower will be decorated with bright orange / red lights. I thought it was good for the blue hour sky, so I went there and wait for the blue hours just to find out they turn light off in the center and use blue, almost green light that day!
Not to mention it didn't visually go well with the tower's pain which is mostly Red, IMO

A Japanese person told me that it is to celebrate a guy winning a gold medal figure skating in the Olympic. That's interesting.
Back in my country, they dim or turn off light only to express sympathy or grieve, and for sure using extra light to celebrate...something like...wins the Olympic gold medal.

@rod_grant
Yep, The tricky part and the fun part is pick a spot where I can expect a car to stop for the traffic light.
I was lucky too. The last miliseconds the car took off that’s why I got the light trails in front of the car.
And the line for car waiting to turn left is shorter, so I got the dash orange light trails to the right hand when another car running pass my camera.

@ramseybuckeye
thanks

Thanks, I was surprised when I saw these last year, only two counties away. That is part of the old Great Black Swamp, one of the last populated areas in the state for good reasons. Good farm ground after they drained the swamp.
