Thanks for kicking this off, Julie! It's a good exercise to choose just 3. Interestingly enough one of my 3 is from this morning. These shots represent the subjects I shoot the most: landscape, wildlife, and wildflower macro:

Yeah, not easy selecting 3 images for the year. Without having time to cull through the year's images, these three stood out for some reason.

Thanks for starting this thread, Julie. It's always enjoyable to see everyone's favorites, and fun to go back through the ones I've taken this year. Hard to pick three, but here are mine:

Really is hard to pick three. I narrowed it down to five and noticed all five used different lenses. I think these three are my favorites. All were taken with lenses I purchased this year off of the Marketplace.

Kiko and Autumn at the Greenville (SC) Zoo. Kiko was six days old in this shot taken with the Sigma Bigma.

Eagle at the SC Aquarium in Charleston, SC. Took this one last Friday using the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8.

Falls Park Liberty Bridge in downtown Greenville, SC. I purchased the Sigma 10-20 and took a trip downtown to try it out an hour after it arrived at my doorstep. This shot was one of my favorites from the day that I had printed at 16x20 and framed to hang behind my desk at school.

I just started taking pics last year (2012). My favorites are mostly "firsts".....first portrait, first star trail, first HDR, first pano etc.....

It's quite difficult to choose my top 3 favorites but I have to, these are it for today. Ask me again tomorrow and my choices will be undoubtedly different.
