Cliff Tree.

I'm not even going to try and identify this type of tree, my hunch is it's a Gum tree of some description (the leaves at least look like a Gum tree leaf), but as to specifically which kind of gum species... I dunno.

The tree in the third image looks as though it's been pruned by an herbivore that can reach up just so much.

Tree at Craters of the Moon, in a volcanic field. Tough place for any plant.

A dead tree that took down it's burden of witch's broom when it passed.

One tree that's manage to become established and grow tall and healthy on this very harsh habitat. The flat white plants all over are dwarf buckwheat, adapted specifically to this dry , at times sizzling hot environment.

Banyan tree I think. There's an extraordinarily big one at Edison's place in Ft. Meyers Florida.

They are amazing trees. Hurricane Irma tore down a bunch of trees there, but the big banyan survived.
