There's large area around the football stadium of the Youve-a-Nursery of MessyChewBits that's reserved as meadow habitat, Along a partially natural drainage in it there are these handsome old weeping willows whose early leaves always have a bright yellow-green color when they emerge in the Spring.

OK, confess. How many cups of coffee did you have?. Just kidding. That's an attractive, mood-generating image.

Trees around the UMASS football stadium area. A red maple with the winged red seeds and emerging pale yellow-green leaves creating almost unreal color, and a dense old dense stand at the north end of the football field.

I live above a forested embankment, now filling in nicely for spring with the stark contrast of the dead tree. This is my balcony view in the evening light.

One of my very favourite trees and one of my favourite photos. (I have this on a wall print.) It is a Myrtle Beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii) in Tarra Bulga NP, Victoria. These trees date from Gondwana times, when Australia was joined to Antarctica and covered in rainforest. Individual Myrtle Beech trees can live for 500 years - indeed since they reshoot from roots, the root stock may be much older. K-30 + DA 12-24
