Trees encroaching on one of the few remaining buildings of the local State School property. The facility was closed back in the 1980's and most of the 40 or more buildings were boarded up and neglected, although a few were kept in use by commercial operations (a local embroidery service, a dog-training facility and the like). More recently a senior retirement operation took over most of the property and most of the decaying buildings were demolished, but a few of the larger structures remain. The town in partnership with a commercial developer have recently obtained an $800,000 grant from the state to demolish the power plant, a major problem because of its massive smokestack and potential major soil pollution once the slab is torn up.

Or maybe "Forest"? In any case, an update on the state of the season.

A couple days ago I was lucky enough to run into a slightly foggy savanna on a morning walk, this was little after sunrise.

Rub it in. Some photographers have all the luck for great photo ops. But it is a lovely image

This morning I went to the same place, rode a bicycle, got no photos, started losing air in the back tire. Rode about 5-6 miles with a low back tire, that was like torture. Then I got to go walk with my wife, only a couple of miles though.
