Wow! Rainbow Eucalyptus, no?
All In know is they are Eucalyptus. Plenty of them at this Park, and some people object to their presence, seeing that they consume a vasat amount of water, not good for a water scarce country like ours. I love capturing the bark of these tress, they make for some interesting Abstracts

Yes, many of them have very interesting peeling bark. The "rainbow" (E. deglupta) trees have beautiful color under the outer bark. Some of them have the patterns you captured in your images, these are different species. There are hundreds of them, I'm not an expert, but I agree they are very interesting!

This one seemed to want to be in monochrome.

Trees Young and Old

In the corner of our back yard where it meets the woods. The stone wall is the boundary between us and our neighbors but probably once marked the boundary between two farms or fields. The last traces are almost gone but we know there used to be a stone wall-demarcated cattle path across what is now the front edge of our front yard. Unfortunately, the young trees seem to mostly be Norway maples, seedlings of the one some prior owner planted as our front lawn tree. Why anyone would plant a Norway maple, essentially an invasive weed, in front of a New England colonial when they could have put a Sugar maple or oak there is a mystery to me.

Lots of trees in my back yard.

And our apple tree in the front yard. On a clear day it's a decent view around here.

And a few from walking the dog in the woods nearby. I definitely like living where I do.

Some of the trees around here get lights this time of year.

The first image of an illuminated tree is enchanting, quite magical.

Thank you. I felt a bit weird taking a picture of my neighbours tree with a 500mm lens, but couldn't resist.

It's amazing where trees can actually grow, isn't it?
