A gnarly "feral" apple tree on its last legs.

Now that it is winter, I seem to be finding the damaged and sick trees more.

A tree bare of leaves but wrapped in lights for Xmas at Longwood Gardens, and our own weeping cherry during one of its glorious Spring bloomings (some years there are very few flowers on it)

An old image from the look-up-into-a-tree perspective. As I remember, I got up on a ladder and used a fish-eye to minimize the trunk and maximize the foliage. SCAN probably taken with an LX and 16mm Pentax fish-eye

Here's a shot I took today of the other end of some trees. I was using LV and the articulating screen, but was bumping up against the (long) minimum focus distance of this lens.

Trees at a place called Hank's Meadow at the nearby Quabbin Reservoir (water visible in the distance). SCAN from a particularly beautiful Autumn.
