Ha, great ones again, from open spaces to tight build-up areas, from very colourful to foggy, and from small to tremendously large.... GREAT!

Closeup of an interesting-looking tree. Or some sort of bush. Taken on Tenerife, if anyone can identify it.

Being an island, it's almost certain that most of the flora is endemic, although also almost certainly evolved predominantly from the plants of Africa. Unless someone on PF is familiar specifically with the plants of the Canary Islands, it's unlikely you'll get an id from us.

Good points! But the tree being a little different, exotic, is exactly why I ask. I know its a long shot and dont really expect an answer

If you'd like to see some odd, exotic-looking trees, GOOGLE up images of the Madagascar flora. You'll get identifications easily, as that flora is famous. But the Tenerife flora, not so well known.

Oh, definitely! Islands and other inaccessible places can have some really special plants. I will be posting some more photos from Tenerife in this thread later
