Two dead trees at Craters of the Moon. Interesting that many of us find tree skeletons visually appealing.

Thought I would post a surreal alternative to the natural version of the second tree image in the preceding post. Anyone have a preference? Somewhat apples and bananas or personal taste.

The quick and the dead? Well, not very "quick."

Prefer the second darker bluer sky version, tho I think it's went in the right direction it's ended up going a tad too far in that direction. If the saturation and strength can all be dialled back a notch or two I think that would be where (to my tastes) the better version would be.

Thank you, but my cloning skills are so poor I don't even try. Cropping is more easier, but that would have messed up my rule of the thirds framing. Oh well, I didn't see anything special to this image to justify the work

Two different takes of the same tree.

I like the very last image. The lighting brings out the gnarly trunk nicely.
