Looks like a lovely spot to visit, and looks as though you had a near perfect day.

Close to home, Bruce?
I haven't been up to the Blue Mountains for 30+ years.
Maybe it is time to revisit.

Yeh most of these spots are around 1hr drive away. I live in the lower Blue Mountains, most of the 'cool' stuff happens further up, but then I like being closer to the city (and we need the city for work), so it's a sweet spot to live in for now. Maybe retirement will see us move further up.
It's a lovely corner of the world for sure, give us a yell if you come up, I'd be happy to show you some sweet spots if you're unfamiliar with the area

Thanks Bruce.
It won't be for a while... I've used up my holiday allowance recently.
Both my daughter and my son and his family have been there recently and they rave about the good spots (daughter and daughter in law rave mostly about shopping in Leura).

That appears to be a well-to-do neighborhood. Trees purposely planted well separated from each other = near perfect globular shape, and consequently, if you'll excuse, picture perfect.

You would be correct. There's a field separating the walkway Jeannie and I are on from this "nice" neighborhood.

Must have drowned, or it would have stood up by now.
