PP Challenge #95

Thanks for hosting the last challenge J. Stanz and for inviting me to pick up the next round.

I have decided to offer you a chance to work on a file from the new MX-1. The real challenge here is that this shot, taken on the Easter weekend, is typical of the very dreary early spring landscapes here (blossoms are a long way off yet!). I have photographed this hillside many times but this probably the bleakest version. Let's see what you can do.

My effort. Tried to bring some HDR effect using Lightroom. Hope it reached to some extent.

Looks good, other than the sky - which looks a bit artificial.

While a heavy snowfall warning is in place here at the moment, I am pleased to see the magic that is being applied to my dismal spring landscape. Welcome to the challenge Sage 97 and ashurbanipal (awesome username by the way). Lots of time for more entries...

Went with an 8x10 verticle crop for something different.

Nice shot, a b+w treatment, with some extra grit thrown in

here's my version. just noticed it's a little like atupdate's but not quite. going for something a little eerie and hopefully dramatic.

a maximum high pass (am starting to really like this effect), some dodgy photoshopping and ink outlines (another fav filter):
