The spiders around my garden are but a couple of mm big, and are also skittish: I get (at most) one shot before the burst from the ring-flash makes them run away, so I'm in awe over your models being so patient with you as to allow multiple (very nice) shots.

This little jumper was about 7mm long he was also very skittish we chased him around for about 10 minutes to get these shots he would jump on to our hands then we would stick him back on the leaf after a few minutes he calmed down a little

Very small jumping spider from this morning. When they are this small it is very hard to get critical focus on the eyes when you can not really see them.

Jumping Spider decided to check out my kitchen sink this morning...

K30 and Makinon 135mm with a couple of extension tubes and flash.

And one on my mouse a couple of days ago, had one on my camera a few minutes ago but can't find him now...

I think I've had nightmares about the Spiny Orb Weaver. Great work Hangman!

Nice shots of the jumping spider paleo pete! I've not been able to get a shot of their eyes like that, they always either run away or jump on my rig.

I have just started trying a Raynox 250, on my Tamy 90 I'm guessing it goes about 3:1(not sure on the math)The DOF is gone, I thought I was ready for it but at 1:1 it is a football field by comparison. I'm also using a larger softbox held further away(thanks hangman) IMO IQ is still pretty good with the raynox.
