Aragog
A massive fishing spider, just hanging out on the Buffalo River like the rest of us do. S/He was highly amenable to being photographed.. with a 50mm lens in her/his face.

Probably "she" as male spiders are commonly smaller than the females, sometimes much smaller.

I took many pictures of this spider and posted several years back, but as there have been few arthropods out & about I went back and processed an unusued image file with a new LR/PS add-on program.

Super shot WPRESTO.

Got these yesterday, a button spider. Poisonous. I'm presuming this is the female, as I found it with two egg sacs.

And this small one.

When I saw that button spider I immediately thought of the black widow we have here because of the gestalt. Then I read your comment about it dangerously poisonous which sent me on a search wondering if the two were in the same family. They are closer than that, they are classified in the same genus = Latrodectes. Surprising that spiders so far apart are still so closely related.

You saved me the effort.
The pattern on the back is like a brown widow.

I also noticed the red/orange on the ventral surface of the abdomen.

I guess a harvestman goes here.
A Daddy Long legs. From this angle it looks more like a squid than a spider.
