A tiny spider, Excluding the legs it's no more that 3mm long. Get as close as possible then crop deeply in PP, a stretch for the 150mm Sigma.

An image from years back, processed with new knowledge of how to do it. These handsome Argiope won't be spinning webs for a while yet this year.

Two more spiders-and-dew images from years back. A big spider much bigger than the dew on its web. and a very tiny spider that makes one dewdrop look suitable to be a bathtub. It's interesting how along the strands of both webs many of the dewdrops are quite uniformly spaced.

Black and Yellow Garden Spider Argiope aurantia

never seen a web like it

QuoteQuote:
. . . .The web of the yellow garden spider is distinctive: a circular shape up to 2 feet (60 cm) in diameter, with a dense zigzag of silk, known as a stabilimentum, in the center. The purpose of the stabilimentum is disputed. It is possible that it acts as camouflage for the spider lurking in the web's center, but it may also attract insect prey, or even warn birds of the presence of the otherwise difficult-to-see web. Only those spiders that are active during the day construct stabilimenta in their webs.. . .

This one's a little like aslyfox's. The visible part of the web was very small, about the size of the tip of my little finger. It looked like it was floating in air and I had to look very closely to see what it was:

Minnesotas largest spider the Fishing Spider. This Mother is on top of her brood nest. She is more than 3" or 8cm long. Kinda like a Huntsman spider that can glide on water. Those yellow specks are some of the 1000's of babies in there.

This big spider looks quite a bit like the Fishing Spider above, but it's not nearly so large.

Did you spot the spider in the first image? I didn't see it at first, but when I did I tried moving in closer. This orange fellow can't be more than one millimeter long excluding the legs.
