Another one of mine

A question though if its allowed - all of my spider macros have always had a 'look' like this whereas numerous others (on this thread, Thomas Shahan et al) have a cleaner more saturated look. My setup is a FA100/2.8 on K5 (previously DS) with Sigma EF500 Super flash, usually bounced. Usually using f5.6 to f8.0 sometimes f11 to try and maintain maximum sharpness. For this one I used liveview at 8x and watched for the eyes to be in focus before hitting the shutter. Just wondering if maybe my lighting setup is letting me down or maybe there is something I am missing from PP (focus stacking or something IDK) Thanks!

A lot of Shahan's are stacked images and shot at higher than 1:1 Macro

Seems like this thread has been going on for some time, and I've only just noticed it.... (the downside of spending too much time arguing about cameras and FF )

Lots of nice shots from everyone.

Here's my contribution until I generate new shots.

Those 'Q' pics are fantastic! Glad to see your F100 is showing the same CA as my FA100.

I feel I am getting a little better, been playing with my lighting setup.
