Not sure that this is a spider, seen in Spain whilst on holiday. Apologies if it is not. It only has 2 eyes that I can make out!
I shot this with a Tamron SP90 and on board flash then waited until the sun dropped low enough to photograph using the sun. Sat waiting on a chair expecting to be able to take some good images but as soon as the sun hit the body it tore off and hid from me. Faster than I had imagined!

A "daddy long legs" or "harvestman." Very spider-like, but technically not a spider. Easiest way to tell, aside from not having eight eyes, is that there's no distinctly different or separate cephalothorax and abdomen.
This is the same A. trifasciata I posted above working on a freshly caught cranefly. By the time we finished our walk, a loop, this girl had apparently sucked out all the good and cut the husk off of her web.

This little jumper is from the other end of the day Dave. This is the same look I get admiring a sunset. K-3 and the wonderful 100 macro WR.

I am guessing this is some sort of Orb weaver spider, female and large enough to fill the frame using a Tamron SP90 52BB.
Well I looked it up on the internet and have made assumptions! What do I know!
First image is taken with WB set to cloudy (the auto WB image was a little cold) and the 2nd image has had an auto-adjust in photo gallery.
Just behind the back legs on the abdomen (or above them in these images) is a curious feature, I had thought it might be some sort of genitalia but maybe it has to do with web spinning. Anybody know what this feature is?

A fairly slender-bodied little spider whose legs inevitably stretch beyond the zone of focus. Not much of the snare shows but this is an orb-web weaver,

According to my "Field Guide to Spiders of Australia" that is the Epigyne (sperm receptacle) of a female spider located between the lung openings. Apparently the male bits are at the end of the palps, the small arms next to the fangs. This recently published book has a lot of information including a brief description of the body parts and over 1300 photographs. Published by the CSIRO and I can recommend it if you want to learn more about spiders. It is estimated there are 15-20,000 spiders species in Australia with only 4000 described so far. I find a new one every time I visit the garden, here is a different lynx with a catch.
