Another image of a daddy long legs AKA harvestman that is not a spider despite its eight legs. This image is close enough to show the two tiny eyes atop the globular body, not the eight eyes typical of the vast majority of true spiders. There's also one little red mite, almost always present on harvestmen in this area at least. This individual seems to have lost the two foremost legs on its right side.

Looks like a brownish gray fishing (dolomedes) spider. I occasionally see them around my home, especially in the evening. They are a startling sight and they move really fast.

From Wikipedia:
Dolomedes tenebrosus or dark fishing spider is a fishing spider found in the USA and Canada.[1][2]

It is able to bite humans but will run from people. In most cases the bite is no more severe than a bee or wasp sting.

Two tiny spiders. The second is near the center of its little orb web which, for want of a little AM dew is pretty much invisible. That second spider is about 2mm long (very deep crop to get the posted image),

I have a lined orb weaver in my yard. It makes a horizontal web about 3" diameter. When it is overcast it is underneath and when it's sunny it creates a silk bed and stays on top. This morning it climbed on top as it got bright but now it is overcast and it never bothered with the bed and went back under.

Another very small spider, just about at the limit for field macro, at least for my equipment and level of skill in the field. Ornate pattern on the dorsal surface of the abdomen, not what I expected in a spider small enough to hide completely behind a stem of grass.

Technically, this could also be x-posted to the various insects threads, but it's probably better here...

Thanks, Knock! The lens I'm using is a reversed 8mm movie cameralens (D mount) on a set of extension tubes. The lens is a Kinotel 1.5 " f1.9. These were probably taken at about f5.6. Field of view of my KP's frame at the subject plane of focus is about 8mm, so magnification is about 3X
