I believe I mentioned in a comment posted on OzzRod's wonderful image that I too have a habit of taking abstract shots every now and then. This here was taken yesterday as I was deciding on which lens to tackle the month with. Like I said I think I got some pretty decent images, but wasn't really feeling too wideanglish.

As per my theme of the month so far, this one includes some heavyish postprocessing as well...

I agree.. That's really nice..

Here are my other shots from yesterday.... As you can tell, I like to PP too..

I made two meager stitch attempts this morning that I will have to choose from if I don't get a chance to shoot more after work.

Intrusive Flickr coding ???

If you have a look at the picture threads page you'll see that the daily titles/headings from me (and Bramela) contain a lot of distracting Flickr code. That's not the case with others when they start a new day's picture thread, even though they're also sharing from Flickr. Any suggestions on how to escape this? eg.

I see what you mean. How do you attach your images?
I copy the BB code from Flickr manually and paste it into my post, then edit out the bits I don't want to appear.

I copy the BB code from Flickr manually (yep) and paste it into my post (yep), then edit out the bits I don't want to appear (hmm, OK I'll try that)
Thanks Sandy.

Someone (Matt) asked what version of the 28 I was using, it's the M28 f/2.8... And regarding the bokeh on my day five pic, I was going to name it "How you like them five aperture blades now?"

Regarding the stitching software used on my day 7 image, as I pm'd to Kozlok I was being lazy and just dumped the pictures to Photoshop. I've been using the Microsoft ICE and also been happy with the results I'm getting from it. It lets you alter the way the images are being stitched, whereas with PS you have to import them all again... I didn't have it at hand this time, but I should download it to my currently used laptop.

Here's an extra from yesterday, taken during my only daylight window of opportunity (driving between an operating session which started at 0730 and another which finished at 2200). This was a hastily arranged snap from my car window; I didn't have time to remove my sunglasses or engage live view, so I essentially shot from the hip, stopped down and trusted the AF and multi-segment AE.

I thought I'd include it to demonstrate that the flare resistance of the DA21 is pretty good; the sun is just out of picture in the top right. Maybe not quite as good as the DA15, but colours and contrast elsewhere in the frame seem to be well preserved. Pixel peeping the Hilton Hotel in the background shows some fair resolution too. I also liked the colours in the trans-illuminated signage and the high-vis cones and decals on the truck.

Just to let you guys know, my better half is visiting me and I'm trying to spend as much time with her as possible, so I haven't been posting pictures (or comments) lately, but I've taken a pic for each day, and will post them up along with comments when I get the time, probably at or after the weekend.
