It's basically their way to feature interesting pictures on a daily basis. It's one of those things that you have to experience to fully appreciate because suddenly your image is getting viewed by a ton of people and you're getting their feedback all at once.. Our group seems to be appreciated by the flickr algorithm I've noticed.. Pretty cool beans..

If you want a couple easy options to view Explore, I use these regularly...

flickriver
fluidr.com
fiveprime

(You can link your flickr account to these services and view your contacts/groups this way too etc...)

If you check this thread here, you can see what shots our group has had in Explore over the span of several months history. Also, if you all dont mind keeping that up to date, its a great way to go back and appreciate some of the Single In Gold.

Hi everyone

First of all I just want to say thank you for the comments on my photos and I apologise if I haven't returned the favour in kind as of yet. This is my first "Single In" adventure and I am thoroughly enjoying it and still trying to come up with interesting things to photograph.

I'm very new at all this having owned my K-30 for about a year, I bought it on a whim prior to an overseas holiday in September last year and I'm hooked, previously I'd only ever owned P&S cameras. It's been an interesting year and I have learnt so much. I'm very glad I bought a Pentax and enjoying being on this forum. Only two problems...I want a K5 IIs and more lenses...but who doesn't right?

Good on ya Paul. This game was apparently originated as a way to cure Lens Buying Addiction and Gear Acquisition Syndrome, but it often seems to work the other way

It has certainly been a great exposure to others' creativity, and a way to make me more thoughtful about my photography. I feel my results are improving all the time.
