Nice work and interesting process. You should also start a thread in the Film Processing, Scanning and Darkroom Section
Thanks! I'll do that when I have more experience with the process and possible alternatives.

Welp, Steve's Spitfire image reminded me of the Jensen Healey I used to own. Sold it about 25 years ago, and I still miss that car. Taken circa 1985. Canon FTb, Vivitar Series 1 28-90/2.8-3.5, Kodachrome 64

And the Jensen GT I also owned. Sold it to about the same time (I was out of work, what can I say?). And yeah, I miss it too. Mine is the maroon GT in the foreground. Photo taken at the All British Day Meet in Southern California, circa 1987. Canon F-1, Vivitar Series 1 28-90/2.8-3.5, Kodachrome 64.

Here's some Panatomic-X in an Olympus Pen FT half frame, summer on '76 as we sailed our junk from Barnegat Bay to Seal Harbor Maine...

I climbed the mast to fix something, so naturally I took my camera

Here are some of the tall ships outside NYC harbor on July 3...

My sister, in a grumpy mood, at the tiller

The boat itself, when it was first launched in the Chesapeake, around '74 I think it was

And a full color portrait of the boat...some time in 74/75

Nice series, you're a brave man taking pictures from the top of a mast!

Found image from early 60s, cleaned up with tonal improvements. Looks to be east coast, Coney Island? Jersey shore? Cape Cod?

Using the K5 and lightbox to 'scan' a few more slides. This Kodachrome with MX and 28/2.8 in January 1981, South Africa. I love bringing these old pictures to life again, even if so many of the subjects are no longer with us.

Steve
This one is not a link to Flicker, but a copy from from it as the image is not public. I still see my own, but no longer see the one from Wildman. On a related note, I now find I have to post the BBC code into 'link' not 'image'
Edit. I have redone the link to make it public.

A nice candid portrait of my mom from the early 80's. If I recall, my dad would typically use Kodacolor Gold in his Canon AE-1. Direct scan from an old print.
Going by my own experience, it may be that your scan from the print could be better than from a deteriorating negative. I have heard that early Kodachrome had a fungicide resistance lacking in later years. My 1961 slides look like they were taken yesterday; Kodachrome 10 was brilliant, but my negatives from 1993 are a disappointment.

Very nice and green. You should see Vancouver now, everything is brown due to the lack of rain. Water restrictions are in effect, so no watering lawns.
