Q+01 I've had the combo for almost half a year now, and I've just snapped some photos with it. I think now's the time to see what it can really do. It's getting dark, so expect a lot of b&w conversions to avoid excessive noise.

I bought it new, from Adorama, nearly 3 years ago.

Do you know anyone who might be able to clean it?

Are Twin St Cameras still in business? Digitalis might be a useful guy to ask.
I gather leaving the lens open in bright sunlight for a few days can clear it up considerably.

I'm in for November too. I feel like I had it pretty easy this month with such a versatile lens, so I think I'll go for a manual one. TBD.

I think the usual advice is to put it in a plastic bag with a couple of sachets of silica gel....

Just got the HD 21 Ltd so perfect opportunity to get to know it better. It is certainly a huge challenge to come up with a interesting photo every day for a month.

Hmmmm. It looks like you and Jack will make it impossible for me to resist upgrading my DA21 and DA15.

I'm in, for sure. I've found this month absolutely brilliant, and I've become far more comfortable, and confident, with my M 50mm f/2. I think I'll probably stick with that for November as well, just to get even happier with it.

The only other option at this time would be my Sigma 30mm f/1.4; I might save that for December.

I'd wait for the first user experiences from the HD DA15, as it has the rounded aperture blades, which may lead to no starbursts... Not that I'm monetarily in a situation I could even think about upgrading my SMC limiteds

I'll be back in for November. Lens still TBD. Will be a real challenge for me as November here is dark, chilly and generally unpleasant! Very impressed with the photos that have been posted for the last few months' SI challenges.
