Post-Processing Post Processing Challenge #115

Welcome to Challenge #115. Have decided to take a leaf out of todd's book and pick an image I haven't touched.

This was taken at Floriade, a local annual flower show near me. This shot was taken on my k-01, with a tamron 35-80 01a. It'd been a while since I'd pulled out a manual lens and this was taken early in the piece, so I was still re-feeling my way. Looking at this shot now, I don't know why I took it.

It seems neither here nor there to me. So perhaps you guys can use your stellar PP skills and show me what I was aiming for when I took this shot.

Thank goodness I don't shoot film, that's all I can say...

Sky's the limit, so go all out crazy if you want. I have no attachment to this shot.

Only used lightroom:
1- fixed perspective/horizon
2- lowered highlights to recover some flowers/boosted shadows to recover details from the foliage in the back
3- boosted blacks a bit
4- changed the white balance
5- boosted saturation of magenta
6- boosted clarity
7- finally removed some unwanted items using spot removal.
8- added some grain as controlled noise to help cover my tracks from step 7.

Hope you guys like it!

Edit: I lowered the clarity a bit after looking at the resized image. also forgot to mention step 8 before.

Thanks for playing, jrcastillo! kudos to you for getting rid of all the peeps! Have already started taking notes about how to boost colour when accidently overexposing. Love how much I can learn from this challenge

It took a little tone mapping but I think I found what you were aiming for.
