Originally posted by blackcloudbrew The Tak 135 Bayo was one of those lenses I could never figure out or be happy with. Mine flared like crazy if it was pointed anywhere near the sun. I sold it and never looked back. Also, I have never loved 135mm on an APS-c camera.
I just never gave the Tak the love and attention it needed. My LBA was rampant at the time, and all I did was acquire, acquire, acquire. I have a Jup 135 and really liked it. And from there, I think I just stopped trying/testing everything else, despite still buying... well, to be honest, that 135 Tak came at a very nice price, so really..... it wasn't like I uhhmed and ahhed over it. It was just silly not to get it.
Depending on how the 200mm f/4 goes, will determine whether or not I will go with another 135 preset I have lying around the month after. It's time I actually gave attention to all my lenses. And then there's all those fast fifties.................. gawd. I think I've already got my line up for the next 2 years....
IF of course I have the stamina to stick to it.
