Thanks for saying so - I'm still ambivalent about the toned version, but will be a lot happier trying it on other photos.

Some softer roses from the same bush on another day, taken with the long end of the kit DA 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL on a K10d. Think I was struggling to frame them nicely, but I do like the colours and form;

Not exotic but Gorse is in flower here in SW Wales, I'm new to DSLR and finding my way around my K100D.

Yep, I take at least 2-3 shots every day when our red, white, and pink hibiscuses are in blossom. Ours are long gone for the season.
