Evening primrose after a heavy dew, too big for the tiny flowers thread at about an inch across.

Very nice Billy. The water droplets add so much.

Those trees produce such beautiful flowers. I have been trying to get one established at my place for 9 years. I get one at the nursery, plant it, do everything as I should, and the next spring they bud, start to grow, then die.

The nursery has taken soil samples, taken the dead trees back, replaced them, still, the dang things just aren't making it.

I do have a number of different Japanese maples two dogwoods and a monkey puzzle tree.

So I must be doing something right.

This one's 35-40 years old. I use a large tripod and a step ladder to get the pics these days.........................

It gets much taller and I'll need a real ladder.

They're a very delicate flower too, so sometimes the window to get the shots can be small. Too much wind, or a hard rain can mottle them and even a light freeze can turn them brown over night.

Here's one my wife had me enlarge, frame and hang on the wall.

Very nice picture.

The tulip magnolias in my area seem to be more hardy. They get so full of blossoms and put on a great show for two weeks or so. There are also several varieties, white like yours, and a few variants with lavender or purple edges and some with a pastel yellow color.

Everything starting to bloom around here, from tiny to these big Daffodils

Yellow Trumpet Vine, definitely too big to make it into the Tiny Flowers thread...

Mayhaw blooms, I'll be making jelly from these sometime in late April...

Those thorns get up to 2 inches long and are treacherous...not fun to mow around these things...I transplanted them off the lake around 15 years ago. They started putting on fruit after about 7 or 8 years, excellent jelly. I hear they make good wine too but haven't tried it.

Mexican Petunias are taking over our yard - the blooms are usually less than 2" in dia.
