Mooching around the garden (at the best time of year) with my 35mm f2.8 macro limited

Marvellous compositions, great sharpness and clarity.

Thanks Ivan - much appreciated. I sometimes wonder if that lens is too sharp - the petals almost look like they are ceramic or glass.

Interesting observation. I have had the same thought about my Pentax-D FA 50mm f 2.8 macro. Keep up the great work!

I see You...

I was in my kitchen this morning when I glanced through my window to my garden where I saw this little fella just being swamped in a ray of light, behind it dark shadows and a hedge.
I knew I could pull of an almost 'studio' like shot if I get my exposure right when taking the shot.

I shot this rose from above with the K-3 DA*300 & 1.4x TC and then rotated the image to get it vertical--totally weird but I like the result.

Coreopsis are the first very showy flower in my wildflower garden this year, but you may be able to spot other colors from smaller, shorter, less numerous blossoms.
