Rummaging through the shelves I picked up a set of M42 extension tubes and a couple of other nicknacks. Then it was time to inspect the lenses on offer. Tucked away in a corner .... an as-new K 50/1.2 for $100

. No caps, no hood, no case, but the lens is in excellent condition. Couldn't believe my good fortune. Cheers!

I'm going to a short trip with some friends, this weekend.
DA35 is mounted on K30 as walk around lens, and DA15 and DA55-300 loaded up for when I need them.

Update on Bramela (Bruce Stephenson)

Not good news. Pam advises that the last round of tests showed that cancer has spread to Bruce's lungs. Surgery is impractical and he is still weak from the earlier chemotherapy. He's still in hospital and at this stage there's little prospect of him returning home. Bruce and his family are bracing themselves for another struggle. Please feel free to communicate whatever encouragement you think might help them.

That is not good at all.

My thoughts are with you Bruce. There is little that I can do, but I can do this. Take care. I wish strength for his family too, it is their strength that holds the hope. And hope is powerful thing.

Agreed. Very sorry to hear about Bruce. Although I do not know him well, and I couldn't possibly understand what it is like to have to personally face that news, I have lost several family members to the disease, my father most recently. Chin up! Stay strong and make the most of every day. Find beauty and happiness; it is everywhere. Comfort your loved ones and enjoy their company. I am not sure what sort of beliefs you all have, but have faith in the universe we are all a part of. <3

Hi folks. We've had lots of activity and several new participants this month, which is great.

Could I ask that posters remember to accompany each daily image with a mention of the lens? It is not always possible to work it out from the EXIF, and I for one can't remember what I had for dinner last night, let alone twenty people's lenses.
Also, comments on photos should be posted where the images are hosted, not in the daily threads. Likewise, other comments unrelated to posted images should be here.

I'm sure Bruce, as a former moderator of this game, would approve....
