I thought this would be the chosen shot after the prized tree shot didn't quite turn out, but then after processing I couldn't get used to how the subject is darker than the surroundings and could not figure out a way to fix it so this was the closest I got:

this one didn't bother me so bad so it must have just been because I tried to hdr the above with only two shots...

Didn't quite line this one up straight like I thought I had (five shot hdr):

i guess I'm not going to be in this month's challenge after all. I had a death in the family this morning. My eldest sister passed away sometime this morning or last night. She was 82 years old.

Thanks all for your thoughts and condolences.

We pretty much live in the same area, not far from each other except one sister. But she's only on the other side of the state, near Tampa. And they that can come home will. I have/had a very large family, I had 8 sisters and two brothers with me being the youngest. There are only four of girls left now. Both brothers are fine.
