I had just walked to the outer wall of the tunnel to grab a quick shot when this lady came around the curve. It really made a difference to the image.

The juxtaposition of the shaved headed nuns looking in the window of a hair salon caught my eye.

It seems that macro/insect shots are fertile ground for surprises.

I was shooting this assassin bug at night when I noticed that it had a meal impaled on its beak. I thought to myself that it might be a nice addition of drama and so snapped a few more before moving along to other bugs. It wasn't until I was post-processing that I saw what was really going on!

Got lucky when photographing ducks on a walk. This Mallard demonstrating how to stand on one leg. Budding karate kids take note.
