Good to hear you're still snapping; I look forward to your posting

There was a FA 31 on the K-3 on display. (in KL Photo Fair/Festive)
So I tried it on my K-30, in camera the photos looked to have so much CA/PF/Whatever you call it. (Mostly shoot at f/1.8/2/2.8)
But some of them which haven't any motion blur seem to have a nice 3D effect on them. But I'm not yet sold on it. it's still too much expensive and I like my DA35 better. Will wait for it's HD renovation with QS.
And just tried out the new Tamron 70-200 on a DXXX(don't care) Nikon FF, It felt pretty good and not that heavy and big which I thought. well that DA560 beast made me feel much better about almost any lens I saw today. LOL.
OK, LBA, go away. I will wait to buy the DA* 60-250.

Today was a day with lots of good news. First I visited with the cardiologist and I finally have a name for the reason I spent 5 weeks in hospital last December/January. The cardiologist tells me it was Tachycardia Mediated Cardiomyopathy. In plain English a very high heart rate which weakened my heart and led to heart failure. The good news is they figure the worst is over. I still have to be careful as I still have heart failure and there is a slight chance it could resurface so I have to monitor my fluid intake, weight and heart rate. If anything goes wonky - i.e. too high heart rate or fluid retention then I will have to go back, otherwise I go back in a year to make sure we are still on track.
Then...
The camera shop called and my replacement Pentax HD 55-300mm WR lens has arrived and could pick it up any time....so I did. If it is all right with everyone, I am finally ready to join in September.

Well, Adobe and I have had a falling out. I took on the $9.99 subscription thinking I could use Lightroom and Photoshop and eliminate Elements... I never could get Photoshop to work and I tried everything. I swear to you. Everything. I got so frustrated with it I just canceled it. The cancellation process gave me an idea of what Adobe's customer service is like and I was NOT IMPRESSED.

Debating on whether or not to just buy Lightroom (I can get the educator's discount since I teach a class at the local community college), or just see what else is out there. I still have Lightroom until the end of the month (and I know I could just pay $9.99 a month and just forget about Photoshop, only use Lightroom), but I've went back to remind myself how Elements works. I'm also finally utilizing some fun filters/plug-ins that I've had since May when I got the free download of Perfect Effects 8.

I'm disappointed, but only slightly. Here's to new post-processing adventures!

Precisely. :-) I'm not losing any sleep over it. (I've got other things I lose sleep over.)

needless to say I fell out of this challenge for September very quickly. life once again got in the way. just incredibly busy. We suddenly decided to renovate, refinance, and rent our current place out while buying a new palce. needless to say this has become a bit of a logistical nightmare as we jump into the deep end. luckily we were thrown a life preserver before we bought anything and now we at least have a boat to cruise around in... if that analogy made any sense!

In other news, I plan to win the lottery so we can buy the place we fell in love with and still have enough cash left over for toys....like a fully stocked 645z kit but we all know how the plan of lottery winning turns out. (I did double my money at the casino yesterday... put in $10 came home with $26. lol)

Well I have missed out the last couple of days thanks to life getting in the way and trying to get a spot off my sensor. I finally got a chance to get the sensor cleaned since the blower just wasn't cutting it and ended up coming home from that trip to the shop with a new to me lens. I picked up a Tou/Five Star 28mm f2.8. Now I'm in a quandary, I was going to try my SMC M 50mm f2 next month but really want to also try out this new 28mm.
