Tried out the Pixel Shift mode with the K3 and Bigma, seems to work alright, this is a crop. This time taken on a sturdy tripod and 2 sec delay

Nice one! When I use Pixel Shift on Moon shots, I get a "stitching" effect along the "leading edge" of the moon. This is with both my KP and K-70. It drove me nuts trying to sort it out, and I gave up

Two nights in a row. It's interesting to me how the lighting changes so much in 24 hours.

Trying new to mw Tamron SP 500/8.0

As I just received the adaptall adapter for Pentax, I tried the moon.
K-3 + Tamron SP 500/F8.0 (55B) Handled.
I need to improve but seems promising for a first test.

Really beautiful image! I would prefer the moon a bit more pale and underexposured, but this might be due to my office pc screen that is mediocre and not good at looking at images!

Thanks but I'm not quite following. You think the moon should be brighter? Or darker?
I did bring down the highlights a bit to balance it but this seemed like a good approximation of how it looked at the time.

I would prefer it a little darker and less saturated (more pale) to match the snowy mountain top colours. On my monitor it seems a bit "glowing" and quite yellow-orange.
That is my opinion of course, what matters is your viewpoint

Very nice. I haven't ever captured shots with this kennel of cloud movement without obscuring the moon too much. Well done.
