Actually it's the Rocky Mountains.
I totally mis-read Google maps,
You're more north of Missoula, for some reason I read Spokane,
I forget how far west the Rockies come as you get further north,
Wishing you luck in your conjunction hunting

The weather is predicted to be clearing Monday afternoon. I'd better put the rig together soon. Thanks for the wishes. Hope I have something to post Monday evening.

First one is with KP and 55-300 PLM at 190mm. I was not planning to take this one, saw an airplane flying by, picked up the camera and pressed the shutter button without thinking, not changing anything on the camera. ISO 200, f/6.3, 1/125s, heavily cropped to ~3.5Mp.
Second one is with Pentax Q7 and a 700mm f/9.3 telescope, ISO 200, 1/80s.

For a snapshot that first one is quite attractive.

What would you have changed on the first shoot if you’d have had more time to plan?

On the second one was that with a direct Mount on the eyepiece tube?

For the first one, 3.5Mp is more cropping than I'd prefer (for Moon details), so I'll go for 300mm, faster shutter speed (1/250 - 1/500), maybe a bit smaller aperture, at higher ISO (800-1600ish?). Oh, and I'll use a tripod.

For the second one, yes it's directly mounted on the eyepiece tube without any glass.
