Awesome capture! I wanted to go out yesterday but it just happened to be cloudy and raining. Maybe next time.

As I look out the window, it's clouds and rain I see. There was a one night window for us here and thankfully it held out to capture the moon on Friday; unlike the previous two months of cloud.

Ta for the positive feedback, hopefully you'll have better luck next month.

Spotlight at dusk

The moon climbed pretty fast and with two people distracting me I missed the framing I was after, so it's a bit higher than I wanted here. Captured with the D-FA 70-200.

I got lucky with a bit of planning

I'd planned for the moon and the bridge, nearly got an aircraft too but not quite.

This image is cross posted in another thread and was shot with the K5, DA*300 and Kenko 2x converter. I was setting up for a shot of the moon and bridge when this bloke ran into the frame from the right, I pressed the remote (it was in mirror lock up) and I guessed when I thought he'd be central in the bridegwork. I don't think I could do this again if I tried.

This was the same night but taken a bit later with the same set up.
