Saturday morning the waning crescent moon was due to rise about the same time as the start of Nautical Twilight, about an hour before the sunrise. I was fortunate enough that the clouds were low over the Ocean, and once the moon cleared it looked spectacular.

Good juxtaposition of the crescent moon and the water.

Impressive. What’s the underlying exposure of each frame?

Thank you! I was offline for a few days, so please excuse for the late answer. Each exposure was 1/50 s at ISO 160.

HI, I don't want to start a debate, but I'd be curious to see one of the best single shot you had in that stack, and compare it to the one frame shot I just did before your original post... are you gaining that much resolution with a stack like this ?

just curious

I do not have them right now, but the difference (stack vs single shot) is massive. But I have access to some other moon stacks: 50 shots stacked first and 24 frames after (below). Please have in mind that difference between 1 and say 15 is much more visible.

I like to shoot the Moon the day before the actual full Moon. The Sun is still high enough to light the landscape.
