Post Processing Challenge #122

OK.
This file is neither very bad or good but could, perhaps, benefit from some PP.
It's an old file taken with a K20 and a cheapo Tammy 18-200mm superzoom.

I've fussed with it myself from time to time just to see if anythings there.
It would be interesting to see what others could do with it so do anything you want with it.
In judging I will keep an open mind about what it "should" look like.

Last day to post submissions will be a week from now - Sept 27.
Will let you know what I think a day or two later.

Good luck,
Wildman

Here's my try. After I did the usual adjustments I figured I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. I tried to make it look like an old painting, that proved to be a bit of a challenge. Built in tools in PS didn't provide me with satisfactory results, so I tried a number of different things. I hope you like it

Yes don't hesitate to tryout different versions if you want.
You can even have more than one version posted at once.
All I ask is that by the end of the deadline day only one version remains from each participant for me to consider.

Keep it up there has been some interesting images so far.

I went for black and white in a 4/3 format... similar to what others have done.

Okay, in order to make this photo work for the one taking it I would require more information than was given in the original photo... So I did not do everything that I wanted to do with the picture, However I felt strongly that I wanted the picture to have a warmer tone and more contrast. Once that was done it was apparent that I needed something to break away from the 50 shades of brown that I ended up with. So I gave it a bit more umph(!) and colors by making the curtains a bit more red, gave the shirt a voilet touch and the cat eye got a bit greener. I added quite a bit of sharpness to the entire picture to get the hair crisp, but softened out everything I did not want that crisp feel to, like skin etc. As usual with a quick work like this there are quite a few imperfections.
